When you are ready to get started, these are the next steps:
1. Make an Initial Appointment
Please contact us on 02 4880 1686 and inform the receptionist of your interest in booking an appointment in the Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic. We can see you with, or without, referral. If you are unsure regarding the clinics suitability to address your needs, please request a call back from our practice nurse.
2. Complete Questionnaires
We will ask you to complete questionnaires, the information in the questionnaires will be used directly in your care provision as well as assisting with monitoring progress and clinic service provision to enhance the holistic care for all suffering from persistent pelvic pain and endometriosis. De-identified information will also allow us to evaluate the service.
3. Attend Initial Appointment
The initial appointment involves consultation with both the practice nurse and GP (~1hr) and there is no out of pocket fee for this consult. At this appointment, a treatment and management plan will be created for you based on your goals and the doctor’s recommendations.
Subsequent appointments for follow up are as per the usual practice fees.
4. Allied Health - Multi Disciplinary Team
Participation in the clinic also involves a comprehensive information session involving a doctor and multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals, subsequent referrals to a women’s health physiotherapist and dietitian, if appropriate, may be partially subsidised.
