Re: Bulk Billed Appointments

From 1 July 2026, new Australian health regulations require all patients to provide consent for the “assignment of benefit” if we bulk bill Medicare directly on your behalf. This means you agree for any eligible bulk billed Medicare rebate to be paid directly to our practice at the time of your visit, if the consultation is to be a bulk billed service.

Before or after your appointment, we will ask you to review and sign this consent. This can done digitally via an SMS you will receive, or paper copies will be available at reception for manual signature. If you do not assign your benefit, you will be required to pay upfront and claim your rebate from Medicare yourself.
